I always never follow a recipe. Whether it is in my kitchen or behind the camera, I love to be creative and play with my food. When I’m not doing so, or encouraging others to dare to experiment, I am busy being a mom, snuggling my golden doodle Buddy or reading a (hopefully) good book.
Traveling is one of my passions. Growing up homeschooled, I had the opportunity to join my dad on many of his business trips. This is where I fell in love with business and marketing for its collaborative nature and ability to support the growth and recognition of businesses that had products/services they were passionate to offer.
After moving to Grand Forks, ND in March 2020, everything shut down for the pandemic. I spent that newfound extra time rediscovering my love for cooking and creating. Like many of us, I also picked up a new hobby, food photography.
As I pursued my MBA at the University of North Dakota, I found a thriving small business community in the Grand Forks area and student entrepreneurship support from the Center for Innovation. I knew that my dream to do something creative with food, support other small businesses and marry it all together was now a possibility.
