Hi friend,
I’m Kayla Klatt!

I always never follow a recipe. Whether it is in my kitchen or behind the camera, I love to be creative and play with my food. When I’m not doing so, or encouraging others to dare to experiment, I am busy being a mom, snuggling my golden doodle Buddy or reading a (hopefully) good book.

About Me

Traveling is one of my passions. Growing up homeschooled, I had the opportunity to join my dad on many of his business trips. This is where I fell in love with business and marketing for its collaborative nature and ability to support the growth and recognition of businesses that had products/services they were passionate to offer.

After moving to Grand Forks, ND in March 2020, everything shut down for the pandemic. I spent that newfound extra time rediscovering my love for cooking and creating. Like many of us, I also picked up a new hobby, food photography.

As I pursued my MBA at the University of North Dakota, I found a thriving small business community in the Grand Forks area and student entrepreneurship support from the Center for Innovation. I knew that my dream to do something creative with food, support other small businesses and marry it all together was now a possibility.

Two white dishes filled with golden Mac and cheese topped with bread crumbs. A white vase with small purple flowers is between them. The macaroni and cheese and vase are situated on a white platter with a white background and white flat lay. The image is in the style of light and bright.

“Mixing my love of food and photography provides me with ingredients to pursue my passion of supporting other small businesses within my community and beyond!"
